This is the most time consuming, in-depth, service Prestige Detailing provides. It includes the highest levels of cleaning, paint correction, and Ceramic Coatings.
"This service provides 3 stacked layers of Ceramic Coating protection on all surfaces inside and outside. By building up layers, we can provide more protection for each substrate."
- Interior : Ceramic Protection on ALL surfaces
- Exterior : Ceramic Protection on ALL surfaces
Service Time : *Varies
*PRICING : Depends on vehicle size & condition.
- An in-person vehicle inspection is required to determine final pricing.
A vehicle inspection is necessary to ensure I understand the current condition of your vehicle. I will look for manufacturer defects, scrapes, tears, holes etc. The exterior will be checked for panel alignment, gaps, and cosmetic issues. I will take a paint light and do a full assessment of the exterior. All defects will and issues will be documented and photographed. A second inspection will be done after the "Signature Wash & Prep".
DEFECTS : Paint defects are; scratches, wash marks, sanding marks, water spots, micro-marring, bird poop etching, RIDS (Random Isolated Deep Scratches) etc.
I start by vacuuming and dusting all surfaces. Steam cleaning will be done for a multitude of surfaces. All plastics will get cleaned with a gentle cleaner and then conditioned. Door jams will get cleaned and then the door panels. All leather surfaces receive my Signature Leather service. A deep clean using a non-greasy leather cleaner and then a high-end conditioner. This will keep the leather soft and supple. All windows will be cleaned and buffed to a streak free finish.
Once all interior surfaces are cleaned, the interior Ceramic Coatings will be applied. This is a three layer application process. Once each layer on all surfaces are done, the Coatings will cure anywhere from 30-60 minutes. Then I will remove any high-spots and repeat the process another two times. Layering the Coating ensures even coverage and greater protection. The interior will do a final cure over the next few days will I address the exterior.
High-Spots: Leftover Coatings that has not been properly leveled down.
Realistically we want to reduce how many people touch your new vehicle before it's professionally coated. I recommend my clients opt-out of the dealership installed "Ceramic Coatings" and take it a specific high-end detailing business. Expect a detailing business to be more costly than the dealership, because most detail shops don't offer financing on services. If paying for higher-end services, they should always come with a warranty. Don't forget to ask about a warranty!
I start the prep process with washing the wheels, tires, and fender wells. If I washed the car first then moved to the wheels, that would cause water to sit on the surface. That circumstance, if left long enough, would cause water-spotting. Then I would have to potentially do a more aggressive Paint Correction, which shouldn't have been done in the first place, especially on new and thin paint.
A foam cannon pre-soak will start the breakdown process of removing surface contamination. Surface contamination can be dust, debris, bird poop, or traffic film (debris build up) on surface. Contamination can get in the way of the chemicals ability to work properly.
Once rinsed, I will start my decontamination system. This includes iron removers and tar removers. The iron removers breakdown metal fallout and industrial fallout that's attached to the clear-coat. Think of it like a "Chemical Clay Bar". The less we can touch a vehicle, the more we are able to control the potential for introducing more defects when washing the paint. Speaking of a Clay Bar, if needed this is the next phase of prep. Utilizing a Clay Bar (when necessary) will take the decontamination further and provide a deeper clean. It's not always necessary, but when done, a smooth surface is created. A Clay Bar can cause some micro-marring (this is normal). A light polish or Paint Correction should be done once the clay bar is done.
I wil rinse the vehicle again and then do another foam cannon application. While the foam sits on the vehicle, I will start the hand wash. The "prep wash" soap will safely clean and breakdown any leftover protection on the vehicle. This soap is used on all exterior surfaces.
Foam Cannon : A tool used to apply wash soap into a thick layer of foam on a vehicle's surface.
Contamination : Fine particles that sit on a vehicles surface.
Clay Bar : A natural or synthetic clay that is rubbed against a vehicle paint. This removes particles of contamination stick in the clear-cut. It will create a smoother surface.
Micro Marring : A minute scratch(s) on the paint surface.
Prep Wash Soap : Special and strong wash soap formulation that chemicals breaks down and removes waxes, sealants, and some Coatings.
During the drying process I will use a heated vehicle dyer on all areas such as; emblems, grills, window cowl, mirror caps, wheels, door jams, etc. This eliminates the need to hand dry the vehicle, creating a safer outcome.
Now that the vehicle has been properly washed, prepped and dried, it's time to do a final paint inspection. Sometimes paint protection (waxes and sealants) can mask the true condition of the vehicle. This time I'm looking to see if the defects I initially saw are worse, or if there are any defects I missed.
All vehicle paint is different. Manufacturers paint quality and hardness can differ from each model and each color.
New vehicles are starting to receive less paint from the manufacturer. it's not only crucial to protect the vehicle as soon as possible, but to also remove defects without removing an excessive amount of factory clear-coat. I start with a test spot on the paint. This allows me to understand which pad and liquid combination works best for this specific vehicle.
Paint Correction can be very time consuming. The many variables of Paint Correction can create an arduous Correction process. On older and neglected vehicles it can sometime take 20+ hours to get it to the top-tier level. Sometimes new vehicles only take 12 hours. It all depends on the condition. My client bought a 4Runner and it was a one owner vehicle. It was take through a car wash regularly but other than that, it was in great condition. I spent 20+ hours on just the exterior alone, including applying the Ceramic Coatings.

"Can I take my car through an automatic car wash?"
No. Taking your car through an automatic car wash will void the warranty for your Coating. It's better to hand wash it at home or wait a little longer, and schedule a Ceramic Maintenance service with me.
"Can the dealership wash my car?"
No. The only people that should be washing your car is you, me, and anyone person I have personally explained the wash process to. If the dealership washes your car and you have asked them not to, and they damage your Coating, I will contact them directly and remedy the situation.
